WHERE IT ALL BEGAN
For founder Frank Araujo, the answer was simple: build it himself. A native of Mexico and Silicon Valley engineer, Frank missed the bold, authentic flavors of home. In 2005, he launched El Paisa, a taco truck that quickly won hearts with handmade tortillas and fresh-grilled carne asada. Lines snaked across the parking lot, and one truck soon became four.
FROM TRUCK TO TAQUERIA
By 2008, Araujo’s Mexican Grill opened its first restaurant in San Jose and the community hasn’t stopped coming back. From late-night foodie hangouts to family meals, our kitchens have stayed true to their taco truck roots: real Mexican flavors, made from scratch, with the freshest ingredients.
